This week was a much better week for me – no additional side effects which are great. Just the ‘New Normal’ continuing.

Due to my news on Wednesday, Laura took me out for the first time in months! We actually went out – in the real world – what a scary place! Only joking 😊

First, she took my took Ask Italian in Bournemouth. We both love Italian food and we had starters and main. So good to have food that is different from what you always cook at home, and no cleaning up! Bonus!

Then, she took me bowling at Tower Park. I bigged up the fact that I was going to smash her with bowling, but no. She smashed me the first round, and I just beat her in the second! I again obviously blamed me being rubbish on my treatment and that I was weak! I don’t think she believed me! Ha!

Now a lot of people think that it was too risky to go out, but firstly, that was our choice, and we took so many precautions. At bowling, Laura made sure we had a lane that had no one on either side of it, we wore masks anytime we walked around, and we also took had sanitiser spray, which we used on all the bowling balls, we couldn’t have been much safer. Also, it was a Thursday, everywhere was dead!

It was so nice for her to take me out. Got dressed up a little bit and left the house. Other than the hospital, going for a few walks, and rarely going for a coffee, I have spent the last 2 months sitting on my sofa or lying in bed. This was so so refreshing, and I had the best time. It is funny how you no longer take the little things for granted when you cant do them whenever you want. 😊
