So being super happy and going back into the office to work didn’t last long. I work in sales – salespeople in the industry I work in are notoriously younger and want to go out and spend their money enjoying themselves. No problem, been there, done it, got the scars to prove it! However, the issue is, we live in the middle of Bournemouth, which is known for the clubbing lifestyle, and has a rather large university campus. So now, my biggest concern is catching Covid. I was told by my doctor that if I catch covid before starting chemotherapy, it could delay my treatment for weeks or even months if my recovery doesn’t go well. There was no way I was going to risk delaying treatment. After half day in the office, I spoke to my senior manager, explained my concern, which he completely agreed with, sent me home straight away, and agreed I could work from home going forward. Amazing Amazing Amazing.

Luckily, Laura was also continuing to work from home since lockdown, so now, we could literally put ourselves in a little bubble and stay at home as often as we can/wanted to without risking either of us getting infected.
